This is my final draft painting for the spooky trees project. A new art skill I used was painting from back to front and painting from light in the back, to darker up front. I had never done this before with different layers, and different shading in the layers. The art element I used most was color. What makes my painting unique is that the closest stuff sticks out the most and is darkest with the most and brightest dots.
This is my final draft for the dreamtime picture. It is very colorful as I tried to include a wide variety of color. A new art skill I used is shading and the overall dreamtime idea where there's lots of colors, and no figurative objects because I had never done this before. You kind of have to make the drawings look like something completely different than the experience that we are actually drawing. The art elements I used were color and shapes. These elements make my drawing unique because the bright colors represent the fun and happiness of tennis and the shapes symbolize the tennis ball along with people who play tennis.
This is my final block of my flower. The picture is purple and is also matted. The new art skill I used was the overall block print and actually carving out the block because I had never done this before. I thought the carving was actually pretty fun. The art element I used most was texture. This made my print unique because it creating lines and diferent surfaces within the print. Texture was used most when I did dots for the middle of the flower and lines on the stem of the flower
This is my final draft for the pen and ink drawings. My picture is of a beautiful flower and I also included the background. A new art skill I used was the overall use of the pen and ink with the metal drawing tools because I had never even used these tools before to make art. The art skills I most used are value and texture. These art elements make my drawing unique because the shading and texture of the flower and background make it look kind of real and it also it makes the flower stand out.
This is my final draft for the self portrait painting. We took a picture of ourselves, then we drew it out on the white paper and then once done drawing, I painted it. Some new art skills I used was multiple levels of laying, especially on my face and the background, and also correct proportioning of my face. The art elements I used the most were color and form. These elements make my painting unique because the form it it creates depth, width and length and the colors help define the lines, shapes and space and also make my face look realistic.
This is the final for my macro still life painting on a photo of our choice. This is a close up picture of a plant on a bush. The new art skill I used was mixing blue and orange to create a good light brown background color. The art element I used most was space and color. This made my painting unique because it looks like a realistic plant and the space makes my plant stand out
This is my macro still I've leave painting final draft. We were to put several leaves on our table, take a picture of them, and then paint them with detail. A new art skill I used was pretty much just painting because we just started painting like last week. The art elements I used in my painting are shape and color. These make my painting unique because the leaves are a variety of different shapes and the colors make things look real. Also with the outline/ shadow color of blue that goes under the leaves.
This is my hallway drawing final draft on white paper. The hallway I drew was looking at the art door but from the far end down by like the band and choir area. A new art skill I used on this drawing was detailed doors and lockers. In my rough draft for this drawing I had not included the details for either of these objects. The art elements that I used most were probably value and space. The value I used was darker lines forward in the picture and lighter lines farther back and also shading on the roof and floor. I used space to spread out my drawing and make all my objects look proportional and real. These elements made my drawing unique because it made some things stand out and it looked kind of like the actual hallway and the sizes of the things in it.
this is my final draft of the room drawing in one point perspective. I included stuff like windows, a door, a rug, table, and a couple of chairs. A new art skill I used was drawing furniture and having the edges/ corners line up with the vanishing point. I had only did this with shapes, like in the previous drawing. The art elements most used in this drawing were probably line and form. Pretty much all the lines we used in this drawing had to line up with the vanishing point and also form was used to make shapes and objects with length width and depth. These art elements make my drawing unique because they help the drawing be one point perspective and make it look like an actual room.
This drawing we did included boxes in space including some other shapes, like I used a couple triangles. We had to make these shapes and boxes spread out from each other and in different directions. A new art skill I used was drawing boxes inside of each other and also drawing shapes using a vanishing point. The art elements I used were lines and shapes. The lines were to connect the vertisies of the shape to the vanishing point and this helped create the 3-D shapes.
